What Is CNC Machining?
CNC, or computer numerical control machining, is a widely used manufacturing process that uses automated, high-speed cutting tools to form designs from metal or plastic stock.The control system can logically process the program specified by the control code or other number instructions, and decode it through the computer, so that the machine tool can perform the specified action, and the blank is processed into a semi-finished finished part by cutting.
Often performed using mills, lathes, and other various equipment, CNC machining begins by creating a 2D or 3D CAD drawing. This model is then translated into code and inputted into the CNC system. The operator will often perform a trial run to ensure there are no defects in the code before beginning a project.
