What problems need to be paid attention to when overhauling injection molds(一)
The annual maintenance procedure required for each injection molding location is determined by the cycle cycle of the different molds.
Here are some general principles that every mold user can use to ensure the efficient operation of mold components such as hot runners, heaters, guide columns, and thimble pins to prevent surprises
1. Check whether there is early warning rust or dampness at the vent
If you notice rust or moisture near the hot runner vent, it means that there is condensation inside or a possible water pipe break.
Moisture can trigger a fatal short circuit for the heater. If the machine does not run all year round, but shuts down at night or on weekends, the chance of this condensation phenomenon increases.
2. Remember to remind the operator not to “clean” the hot nozzle at the gate
If the operator happens to see a small piece of stainless steel at the mold nozzle, it may actually be a spout assembly.
“Clearing” out what seems to be a hindrance often ruins the hot mouth. To avoid damaging the nozzle, check the type of nozzle of the hot runner system before taking action, ensuring that all operators are trained and able to recognize all the different types of nozzles they are exposed to.
3. Glide stop buckle
For machines that operate all year round, this work should be done once a week. The end of the year is a good time to perform routine lubrication maintenance on these parts.
4. Interactive verification of the resistance value of the heater
The resistance value of the heater should have been measured when it first started using it, and now it’s time to measure it again and compare it.
If the resistance value fluctuates by 10% or more, it is time to consider replacing the heater to ensure that it does not fail at critical moments in the production process.
If the initial resistance value has never been measured, measure it now and use the resulting value as a reference data for future inspections of the heater.
