Fabrication and production of medical device housings

The casing of medical devices is usually specially designed to meet the functional and performance requirements of medical device.

Rapid Prototyping

Medical device casings typically need to have the following characteristics:

1. Waterproof and dustproof;

2. Antibacterial and easy to clean;

3. Beautiful and easy to operate;

4. Durable and other characteristics.

The following is the manufacturing and production process of medical device shells:

1. Design and prototype production:

Based on the functional and performance requirements of medical devices, design the specific shape and size of the medical device casing. After the design is completed, create a prototype to check and confirm whether the appearance and functionality meet the requirements.

2. Mold production:

Mold is the key to the production of medical device shells. Before making a mold, it is necessary to scan the prototype, create a specific mold design drawing, and then select materials to start making the mold.

3. Plastic injection molding:

Use an injection molding machine to inject molten plastic material into the mold, cool it, and then take it out to make the required shell.

4. Surface treatment:

Surface treatment is carried out through spraying or film application to ensure that the medical device casing has good waterproof, dustproof, antibacterial properties, and is aesthetically pleasing and easy to operate.

5. Assembly:

Correctly assemble the internal components and casing of the medical device to ensure its normal function and performance.

In summary, the manufacturing and production of medical device casings is a complex process that requires precise coordination between different processes to ensure that the quality and performance of the final medical device meet the requirements. Meanwhile, during the production process, it is necessary to strictly follow the relevant regulations and standards of medical devices to ensure their safety and effectiveness.
